Concerning Sabbath Day observance,

The Sinai Commandments (9 of the 10 Decalogue) are mere fragments of the spiritual law written upon the heart of human kind on Day-6; Commandment #4 is a civil edict given the children of Israel, exclusively. These nine moral laws were given Israel’s children by Elohim via Moses as guiding directives concerning their relationship with Elohim and their interpersonal relationships between the Tribes as they were embarking on a journey to the Promised Land that would entail encountering pagan tribes, pagan gods i.e., Baal, Molech, the deception of the demonic.

Sinai and Moses’ civil/ceremonial edicts were given to a specific group of chosen people, Jacob’s children, as these edicts were bulwarks against compromise with paganism, a compromise that would have thwarted Elohim’s objective of bringing forth His Messiah through Judah as prophesied.

Gentiles have never been obligated to observe a Sabbath regulation nor is there one example of a Gentile honoring a Sabbath; this, from Adam forward lest same was seeking inclusion in Israel’s theocracy subsequent Exodus 16 when Elohim commanded Sabbath observance via Moses, a directive given Jacob’s children, exclusively.

It is also interesting to note that Elohim was required to provide Moses exacting details as to how the Sabbath would be honored, why? Elohim provided Moses extensive details as to the Sabbath’s prohibitions due the truism that NO PRIOR PRECEDENT CONCERNING A SABBATH OBSERVANCE EXISTED.

Why do Christians reject Torah Law?

Has nothing to do with “NOT” keeping laws but that keeping letters, laws, days, diets, traditions, feasts, such as those legislated, mandated, in Torah no longer apply to those in the New Covenant as obedience, moral-judgment, pleasing the Father through obedience (John 15:8), changed; this, for a more efficient and exacting Way to pursue obedience that actually pleases the Father.

A New and NOVEL WAY to obedience,

Those redeemed by faith in Jesus in the New Covenant, uniquely possessing the indwelling Holy Spirit (Ephesians 1:13-14), are anointed by the Spirit to produce divine fruit (Galatians 5:16-23) and it is this fruit that replaces chasing letters and mandates, CODIFIED LAWS that are subjective and argued over concerning their meaning, their application, the definition of their particular legal elements; CODIFIED LAWS that are easily rationalized away by the sin-nature of the human conscience; this is confusion, this is fertile ground for obfuscation whereas the Spirit eradicates the confusion of letters and true obedience in the New Covenant is defined by the pursuit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control, and it is these attributes/divine fruit of the Spirit that fulfills all law; both codified and spiritual; this, void the legalese and subjectivity of letters.

It’s NOT that the Christian is disobeying Torah or rejecting Torah but that the New Covenant, due the presence of the indwelling Holy Spirit residing within the redeemed in Jesus (Jeremiah 31:33; Jeremiah 32:39–40; Ezekiel 11:19; Ezekiel 36:26–27) provides a better Way to please the Father, a better Way to walk in obedience to the Father’s will for our individual and corporate lives.

LAW in the New Covenant?

In the New Covenant, the redeemed in Jesus possess the indwelling Holy Spirit as Guarantor and Seal of Covenant relationship with the Father (Ephesians 1:13-14) and the Christian is not under letters, days, diets, traditions, (Romans 6:14) but the Christian walks in daily sanctification via the Holy Spirit who produces divine fruit (Galatians 5:16-23) through the Christian and this fruit actually pleases the Father and proves one to be a legitimate disciple of Jesus (John 15:8).

The Spirit works through the new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17), the new man, in Jesus via the redeemed conscience to seek obedience, NOT obedience to letters, but obedience to divine fruit which fulfills all law; both, codified and “spiritual” (that written upon the heart at conception – Romans 2:14-15).

I served the citizens of Houston for 31-years via the Houston Police Department. I joined the HPD Academy in 1979 when HPD was a hard-charging, law enforcement entity…I was proud to be Houston PD; then, beginning with the Whitmire and Brown administration around 1983, the City of Houston began a moral and ethical decline, policing took on a “community policing” strategy, pacifism, liability orientation, over zealous IAD, and eventually hiring standards were lowered in a PRE-DEI, Affirmative Action initiative…the City of Houston began to compromise with reverse discrimination, Houston became a City of Perversion beginning with the Montrose, Homosexual prostitutes in the lower end of Westheimer began to proliferate as I transported these perverts to Vice. Queerdom attained special privileges in Houston.

Houston incrementally compromised its ethics, its morality, its care and concern for the citizenry, for WOKE policies, for sexually perverse initiatives/immorality and now Houston has become Sodom of the South as it celebrates PRIDE, LGBTQAI++ in its streets and in its Police Department. Elohim told you as early as Genesis 3:15 that there would be One who would enter the Realm of Time born of the “seed of the woman” (not the man which transfers the Adamic sin-nature, Romans 5:12) and this anointed One would do battle with Satan.

Elohim the Holy Spirit, first introduced in Scripture in Genesis 1:2, who is the Logistical Overseer of the Creation Narrative, the active, anointed, Elohim who is the One who accomplishes all things HOLY and eschatological in Scripture, it is the Holy Spirit who was tasked with fertilizing Mary’s womb with the Deity of the Son, Yeshua, who would be born holy, pure, anointed by the Spirit (Luke 1), to accomplish the primary objective of Genesis 3:15 via the battle strategy of the Gospel, ordained “before Time began” (2 Timothy 1:9-10), and first proclaimed by Elohim in Genesis 3:21.

The primary objective of Jesus, Elohim the Son, was “to destroy the works of Satan” (1 John 3:8b). Void Messiah’s virgin birth, the entire objective of Elohim the Father would have been nihilistic, as the Anointed One who would provide acceptable blood atonement must be pure, holy, unblemished, spotless, sinless, undefiled and only Jesus, void the Adamic sin-nature, could accomplish this (1 Peter 1:18-19).

I policed the Montrose on three different shifts in the early 1980’s and even though I considered my time in the Marine Corps as an infantryman “eye opening,” I had never been exposed to such debauchery, nastiness, vulgar human filth, than those years spent policing the lower end of Westheimer, Avondale, Montrose Boulevard.

Houston and Flock Camera Technology,

I served the citizens of Houston for 31-years in uniformed patrol with the HPD…I know that Houston is inundated with selfish, irresponsible, violent, criminal thugs and these derelicts, along with pacifist social justice warriors, Marxists, pacifist liberals that are destroying the City of Houston, hate proactive law enforcement, hate constitutionally sound surveillance of Houston’s public roadways and public places; these are the ignorant warring against a safe, good quality of life in Houston and warring against the safety and welfare of our families.

Houston’s PD has gone pathetically WOKE, morally perverse, impotent in far too many ways concerning proactive policing, I know, I retired due Houston’s compromise with DEI and pacifist liberalism that ordered me to stop proactive law enforcement initiatives. At least flock camera surveillance provides real time tracking, admissible chain of custody, for those few proactive officers who still care and still perform the duties of law enforcement through pursuing indictments, arrest, adjudication, incarceration.

American’s that live honorably and respect the laws enacted for the protection of our daily quality of life don’t fear flock cameras erected to surveil the thug-criminal element that threatens our families and our communities.
