In reality, NO…I’m not “sinlessly perfect” as a Christian, but in my Heavenly Father’s eyes I am “sinlessly perfect” NOT because of my behavior but because of what Jesus did for me as Jesus gave Himself, His perfection, His righteousness, for me at the Cross and by New Covenant promise (Hebrews 8:12; 2 Corinthians 5:21) I receive the perfection, the sinless righteousness, of Jesus gifted, imputed, over my life as a gift of divine grace; this, when I believed in my heart that Jesus is my Messiah who died for me (John 3:16; Romans 10:9-10).
When I received the indwelling Holy Spirit subsequent to my faith in Jesus as my Messiah (Ephesians 1:13-14), the Father declared me “not guilty” (Hebrews 8:12) and now the Father chooses to not see my sin (Romans 3:23; 5:12) or my unworthiness in the flesh but the Father only sees the perfection, the righteousness, of His dear Son in me (2 Corinthians 5:21). I have been divinely clothed in Jesus’ perfection via the shedding of Messiah’s sinless blood at the Cross; this, as He first promised in Genesis 3:21.
