Is Repentance Necessary for Salvation from death in Hell?

Yes, you must repent of your wickedness…you must possess a sincere desire to “change” as you approach Jesus with faith and belief in Him as Messiah…a contrite heart is necessary for salvation but understand this….you must be humble and aware of your need for forgiveness and redemption from sin…you must acknowledge that you’re are a sinner in need of Jesus’ atonement but…understand that the realization or reality of your repentance will not truly manifest until subsequent salvation by faith; that is, not until you fully trust in Jesus and confess Him as your Messiah will you receive the indwelling Holy Spirit (Ephesians 1:13-14) who takes up residence within you and He will anoint you with the power and ability and desire to make a sincere change in your life (Galatians 5:16). The Holy Spirit gifts you with the desire and ability to obey the Father’s will for your life.

It is the Holy Spirit who gives you the desire to truly change and pursue the things of God/Elohim the Father, His will for your life; so yes, repentance is an element of salvation…a contrite and sorrowful heart for your sin against God is essential for salvation, but the reality of repentance, the fruition of repentance, manifests subsequent salvation through the Spirit as you walk with Him in daily Christian sanctification as the Holy Spirit prepares you for service in the New Jerusalem.

In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.
