A Jew insists that obedience to the Torah, the Sabbath, are the only way to please God, I disagree…

The Torah – the Sabbath – the Sinai Commandments were given specifically to the Hebrew Tribes as they were set-apart for God’s purposes through whom He would bring forth His Messiah as a blessing to all the families of the Earth (Genesis 12:3).

As a Christian in the New Covenant established in Messiah’s blood (Matthew 26:28), Messiah’s Laws and His perfect will have been written upon my heart and infused within my mind and these are administered by the indwelling Holy Spirit (Jeremiah 31; Hebrews 10; Romans 8:3); therefore, as one who believes that Jesus Christ-Yeshua is Lord and having received His Spirit as my Guarantor of relationship with the Father (Ephesians 1:13-14), I am NOT under Law but under Grace (Romans 6:14) through faith (Romans 10:9-10); therefore, I am not under a Sabbath edict as Jesus-Yeshua IS my Sabbath’s rest (Hebrews 4; Colossians 2:16), Jesus is the fulfillment of the Sabbath’s intent, and I am not bound by the Letters carved in stone or scratched upon parchment…Letters that only condemned void atonement (Romans 3:20; Galatians 2:16)…but I am led by the Spirit who is my Law in Jesus via the process of sanctification.

Jesus is the fulfillment of the Law (Matthew 5:17) and I am aware that the Law and obedience to same cannot save me from my sin; therefore, I trust in Jesus, alone, as my Mediator and my God for the remission of sin and my path to the Father subsequent to the death of my body in Time (John 14:6).
