Messianic Jews and the error of duplicity, a discussion…
Trusting in the Law to earn Messiah’s righteousness will not manifest in eternal life. You are duplicating the error made by far too many Messianic Jews…you seek eternal life by placing one-foot in the Covenant of Law and the other foot in the Covenant of Grace…you are straddling a wire that will cut you in pieces and allot you to death in Hell. You have put the cart before the horse.
Initiating a covenant relationship with the Father has NOTHING to do with the Law and everything to do with repentance and belief in the Son, Jesus Christ, as God, Messiah. Once you have established a covenant relationship with the Father by grace (unmerited favor unattainable by human effort) through faith (believing-trusting) in the Son as God and as your sin-bearer and having subsequently received the indwelling Holy Spirit as the Seal and Guarantor of that relationship (Ephesians 1:13-14)…it is then and ONLY then that your works of obedience to Messiah’s Laws as administered by the Spirit become relevant as your obedience SUBSEQUENT to your confession is the authentication and validation of your faith.
You insist on seeking obedience in order to please the Father without having first established the relationship and let it be known that until a relationship is established with the Father, your efforts to gain approval by the Father through obedience to the Law are futile and He does not even hear your prayers (John 9:31) lest you have humbled yourself and approached Him His way by honoring His will; that is, seeking forgiveness of sin through repentance and belief in the Son, Jesus Christ, who died for the sins of the whole World.
