A demonically-deceived atheist on FB stated: “Atheist and theist how do you define faith? Do you think faith is reasonable or reliable? I define faith as: the reason people give when they have no good reason to provide. So obviously, I do not find faith to be reasonable or reliable.”

A Christian response to Satan’s emissary…

Christian faith is observing the evidence in Nature i.e. the Universe, the Earth, the complex human genome, and coming to the conclusion that design is in-play; therefore, a Designer is mandated (Romans 1:18-32).

The honest seeker pursues the Name or identity of this Designer and notes that Evolution (historical science); Applied Science; Islam; Buddhism and a sundry of worldviews, ideologies, have no answer/no clue. The honest seeker then searches the pages of the most profound, best-selling Book in the history of mankind and finds that the Holy Bible/“Christianity is the only coherent worldview with corresponding truth that defines origin-meaning-morality-destiny and directly answers with logical consistency, empirical adequacy, experiential relevance.” (Ravi Zacharias)

As the avid seeker reads through Scripture, a change in attitude-worldview-understanding-faith begins to manifest and as the avid-seeker continues to read and study the Bible (2 Timothy 2:15), the original languages, they find Jesus Christ-Yeshua to be irrefutably God-Creator-Lord-Intercessor-Messiah-Truth-Judge (Philippians 2:8).

The avid-seeker, in faith, reaches out to God the Father and finds a whole new life in Jesus Christ and then something absolutely miraculous manifests; the avid-seeker finds that God the Holy Spirit has taken-up residence within them (Ephesians 1:13) and the World is seen from a radically new perspective…the old life of narcissism, insatiable lust, has passed away and everything has become new and vibrant and understandable…peace and contentment begin to manifest and joy is abundant as a resultant of faith (2 Corinthians 5:17; Romans 5:1). Though life’s challenges remain, the person possessing the Holy Spirit becomes more than victorious over the death and deception and challenges of this temporary life constrained by Time (Romans 8:37).

With Jesus as Lord, there is intuitive knowledge and awareness that all is well and contentment reigns supreme.

If one desires to know God, if one searches for God with their whole heart via faith, God will reveal himself to this person and God the Holy Spirit will enter their personal life and give them a new life that is infinitely superior to the life lived pursuing the desires of the flesh which leads to death of the body in sin and death of the soul in Hell (Jeremiah 29:12-14; John 14:23; Galatians 6:7-8).
