Offended by LOUD motor vehicles?

“You’re the only one offended by LOUD motorcycles, auto’s, trucks!” says the LOUD Biker advocate…

No, I’m not the only one offended by the bullies who ride and drive loud…far too many of the vehicular noise beleaguered citizenry are ignorant of the physiological harm done and far too many erroneously believe that loud vehicles were designed and produced and retailed to be LOUD which is simply ignorance of Title 40 of the Code of Federal Regulations. Others are simply too intimidated, too fearful, to speak-up and get involved in protecting and interceding on behalf of our most innocent who are the children, the elderly, the handicapped, most negatively effected by unregulated motor vehicle noise.

The Fed’s got involved in vehicular noise via the Noise Control Act of 1972 and they first restricted motorcycle noise in 1983 to 83dB(A) and then again in 1986 to 80dB(A) subsequent to determining that 83dB(A) total motorcycle noise emissions was too loud and injurious for the general public. Every street-use motorcycle produced for our public roadways is equipped with a quiet muffler heavily embossed to designate its conformity to Federal Law and the downtube on cruisers also reflects a label matching the muffler to the motorcycle and tells you that tampering with the acoustical dynamics of that muffler is illegal; this is done for the health and welfare, the daily quality life of the American citizen.

I’ve owned approximately 30-motorcycles since age 12 and I’ve ridden professionally for years accumulating hundreds-of-thousands-of-miles on motorcycles professionally/touring/commuting. What you’re advocating and what the LOUD biker cult[ure] is doing to the sport of motorcycling and their bullying of our most innocent is WRONG and shameful.
