To the Concerned Citizens Against Loud Motorcycles (C-CALM),
In our battle, in our struggle to STOP the purveyors of illegally equipped, illegally LOUD motor vehicles operating unencumbered on our public roadways – in our efforts to defend the rule of law and most importantly the health and welfare, the quality of life of our families…there comes a time when we must confront hypocrisy with truth.
The Bikers Against Child Abuse (BACA) is an organization of illegally LOUD bikers whose stated intentions are admirable, but their methods beguile their legitimacy and their honesty. Following is my response to a BACA supporter who took issue with my suggestion that BACA’s illegally LOUD motorcycles undermined the honor and integrity of their stated goals.
Please, confront the hypocrisy and the lies of the Loud Biker Cult[ure] and counter their obfuscation with truth!

Rickey Holtsclaw whether or not their exhaust is illegal doesn’t mean that they don’t sincerely care about kids. I think their exhaust is irrelevant.

Hello Ben, After a tour of duty with the United States Marine Corps Infantry and subsequent to 31-years of service with the Houston PD, I’ve learned a thing or two about the heart of man.
The way a man or woman “rides” is very telling of the condition of their heart. A true Patriot or honorable philanthropist does not seek self-aggrandizement but seeks to honor, love, respect and serve others. The illegally LOUD members of BACA are not servants or philanthropists, they are individuals seeking accolades and praise for their participation in the Group Dynamic that portends a facade of machismo and respect but at the heart is void of substance. Love, honor, respect for one’s neighbor and the community at large speaks volumes, much more so than mere works and pretense.
Fact: There is absolutely NOTHING the illegally LOUD BACA members do at a philanthropic event that could not be accomplished with the members atop a motorcycle equipped with the legal, safe, compliant, US EPA muffler affixed to that motorcycle. Want respect, desire admiration? First learn to respect the rights and civil liberties of others and most importantly, the rule of law…then one’s works will have substance and depth.
Hypocrisy? Require that all BACA members ride with their legal, factory-installed muffler and watch an overwhelming number of the members leave the organization – it is the “illegal NOISE” that is the icon, the little god of these biker organizations and if the rule of law were to be uniformly enforced, their interest in group activities would die like a body succumbing to a metastasizing cancer.
Fact: You can sprinkle powdered sugar on dung, but at the end of the day – its remains dung.
