New York Times: Christians in U.S. Are Less Educated Than Religious Minorities, Report Says
Response to NYT article by Rickey D. Holtsclaw…
American Christian Beware: Another example of the Socialist-Left-Media insulting and delegitimizing Christians in America.
Don’t be a naive victim of the Socialist-Atheist LIE! Truth is, among American students age 25-29, approximately 36% have actually completed a bachelors or post graduate degree
. The juxtaposition of this New York Times (NYT) article is a subtle comparison/contrast of “intelligence” relevant to “Christians” and those who are “non-religious” (Atheists) or members of a religious minority. The NYT article reports,
There were 267 million Christians in the United States when the data was collected, but only 36 percent of them had a postsecondary education, including college or a vocational school, the researchers said. That made them the least-educated religious group in the country.
The study also found a connection between education levels and the number of people who described themselves as having no religious faith, Mr. Hackett said. In the United States, the religious tended to be less educated than the nonreligious, he said.
The higher the level of education in a country, the larger the share of people with no religion tends to be,” he said. “Atheists and agnostics, or people with no religion in particular, have higher education levels than the religiously affiliated do in the U.S.”
Relevant question: Does the NYT or Mr. Hackett have any idea or concept of what it actually means to be a Christian – or – how does the NYT define Christianity? I doubt very seriously their definition aligns with the Holy Scriptures.
A Warning to American Christians
As our society moves ever-increasingly away from the Lordship of Jesus Christ, Judeo-Christian values and His preeminence over our Nation while America simultaneously/systematically seeks to worship and form an alliance with Satan and his deceitful ideology of Moral Relativism, the Atheists/Agnostics in America will continue in their godless endeavor to portray those who love and adore the Lord Jesus Christ as “ignorant,” foolish, silly and lacking wisdom while portraying the Atheist/Agnostic as “intelligent,” educated, wise and dignified. Now, take a moment and consider the powerful ramifications this misinformation has on the psyche of our impressionable and peer-pressured youth as they are buffeted by the venerable Group Dynamic.
Jesus’ warning: “Brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child; children will rebel against their parents and have them put to death. You will be hated by everyone because of me, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.” (Matthew 10:21-22)
Know your enemy and his tactics – remember the admonition and warning of the Lord Jesus Christ regarding those who teach others contrary to God’s word:
“You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies.” (John 8:44)
The tremendous chasm currently dividing our Nation is greater than at anytime in our History except for perhaps the decade of the 1860’s, but today we’re not simply divided along a political ideological line – but a stark and distinct line-in-the-sand dividing the godless, hedonistic, perverse social order of Moral Relativism from the Bible believing followers of Jesus Christ. Remember, it is YOUR decision and it is YOUR choice whom you will serve. Beware of those who seek to deceive you as evidenced by the subtle message conveyed within this New York Times article.
“Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.” (1 John 2:15-17)
“And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” (Joshua 24:15)
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.“For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.“He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.“This is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil. “For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. “But he who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds may be manifested as having been wrought in God.” (Gospel of John 3:16-21)
